Kingsland manages funds in the alternative-investment category, including CDOs, CLOs, total return funds, and separate accounts.  We tailor our investment strategy for each fund to match the objectives of its investors within the parameters of the fund structures.

Our portfolios consist primarily of secured, below-investment grade corporate loans.  Our funds typically have an investment rating of B1/Ba3 from Moody’s or B+/BB- from S&P.

Factors affecting the performance of CDOs are manager expertise, market conditions (vintage), credit spreads, yield curve slope, debt financing costs, and default rates.  Kingsland has a history of outperformance in CDO management.
